REFLETIONS
EXPERIENCE:In this semester of learning typography, I gradually became proficient from knowing nothing about typography. We learned to use a lot of software to complete tasks, such as adobe illustrator, adobe indesign and fontlab. The task of typography is always full of pressure for me, but it also makes me gain a lot after completing the task. Mr. vinod gives us feedback on our work in every class and it makes me more aware of how the task was done, and it makes me more impressed with the class.
OBSERVATION:Through the layout design, I can observe the changes of font size, line spacing, kerning and other factors on the reading experience. For example, the difference in alignment can guide my eyes to flow with the font. The layout design can help me better understand and organize the content of the article, and make me more aware of the importance of layout for information transmission.
FINDINGS:I found that ideas and sketches are very necessary , when I developed this habit, I would not lose any idea that appeared in my mind. I also found that typopraphy should be clear and express the key points, which can be emphasized by font size and thickness.
